Applicants for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa always think about increasing their chances to be endorsed by the Designed Body. Hence, they suggest any probabilities how to catch luck and get Endorsement because of the correct position of the stars, good Moon day or something else :). Today we will speak about April 6 – the officially known day when new UK visa year starts. I got questions about this day regularly, and this is the most recent one.
Question about chances to get Talent Visa
Thank you for your excellent and helpful blog. If you are not to busy I would be very grateful if you could kindly reply 🙂
Do you think it’s better to wait for April 6 to apply for the visa to have more chances or the timing of application doesn’t matter? “
My answer about the chances
I wrote the following answer to my reader:
“Frankly speaking, it sounds like gossip. You are not the first person who asked me about April 6 as a deadline for visa application and as a chance to increase chances to get a visa.
But I need to answer yes and no simultaneously to this question.
Yes – because Home Office and Tech Nation are preparing their year results for that date and the new visa year is coming. Yes, because these results have to show a kind of growth and positive dynamics…
At the same time, I need to say NO.
As I wrote – many people think about this “winning strategy” and apply in late March.
That is why a load of Endorsement Panel is quite high during that period, so they just allocate visa applications for the next visa year, and that’s it!
So, please, do not think that if you apply during this period, you will have bigger chance to get a visa than if you apply in May or September (by the way, I applied in August).
How to increase chances to get Talent Visa?
The main point for any application is:
- a full and clear Personal Statement with
- good and trusted Letters of Recommendations and
- valuable supporting documents.
If you have this package – apply any time, and everything will be fine.
Moreover, don’t forget that any visa application is not considered in a vacuum. Usually, the Endorsement Panel has a couple of applications on the table, and it is just a matter of luck. If a guy before you had weak Personal Statement but you have a strong one – you are a lucky person. In other words, you will be definitely endorsed. Everything is hidden in details and comparison.
But think if your application will seem to be weak in comparison with someone’s else?
That’s why I encourage you to work hard on your application. Find trusted people to get a Letter of Recommendation. Think about good supporting documents. And then, do not trust too much this calendar forecasts about April 6.
If you have any questions – I will be glad to share my knowledge with you. Or even to read your Personal Statement and said my opinion about it.
Additionally, I advise you to read another my blog post about other gossips of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa applicants. Hopefully, it will decrease the level of myths around this visa route.
