Question of Location

Location influences processing time of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa

Today I got a question from a person who is not applying for Tech Nation Visa but for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa in The Arts. However, this request is the same for any area of professional excellence – Digital Technology, Engineering or Fashion. It is about location of you when you are applying for this visa route. Hence, let’s discuss it in details.

Question: “I have to back to Turkey end of this month and then If I apply to Tier 1 Exceptional Promise visa here got endorsement here too?
I have to back to Turkey but when I get a result can I apply for Stage 2 in Turkey?”

The short answer is yes.
You can apply for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa from any country. Moreover, the idea behind this visa route is to provide benefits for people living outside the United Kingdom. Hence, the applicant who does not live in the country will get Endorsement and finally – him or her visa sooner.

The person who lives in the UK has already got a happiness of being in the UK. Hence, the time frame for considering these applications take longer, up to 8 weeks. However, when we are speaking about the applications from outside the United Kingdom the time limit is about 3 weeks.

At the same time, when the work load of Tech Nation is big and they have a huge amount of applications, the duration of processing is increasing. Not too significantly but still Endorsement stage takes around 1 – 2 weeks more.

In my own case, I waited for Endorsement 20 days and after positive response I applied for Stage 2 and it was quickly – I got my visa in 10 days.

Anyway, if you are in troubles of waiting your Endorsement and / or visa too long – read this blog post about processing time of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa applications and if you still have questions about this – write them to me.
