Today I got question from non-digital guy who is interested in Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa in Engineering. Sure, I am a holder of Tech Nation Visa, hence, my experience is relevant only for this industry. However, as I see my knowledge can be helpful even for Aerospace Engineers.
Question: “I am a recent Graduate. Passed out from the University of The City with (Hon) in Aerospace Engineering with a year Industry. My degree is accredited IET/IMechE/ RaeS/IOM3. Can I apply for the Exceptional Talent Visa”
My answer: “Thank you for your message! Actually, I am a holder of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa in Digital Technologies that is quite far from Aerospace Engineering. I believe your question is related with Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa in Engineering. At the same time, I can share my knowledge with you – to apply for this visa you must have Ph.D in your area. For Digital Technologies it is allowed to apply even without higher education (but sure a person has to demonstrate great practical experience of work in Digital Tech). But for such areas like Aerospace Engineering the doctoral degree is must have.
Moreover, as I believe – you are a holder of Tier 4 General Visa now. According to the requirements, you cannot freely switch to Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa from this type of UK visa. You must leave the country and than apply for this visa route from outside the UK.”
